I am not a photogenic individual so I was not sure if I wanted a photographer at my wedding.

Mikael was introduced to my wife Cheryl and I when we booked our wedding with
Awesome Carribean Weddings.
At first I was dubious that the quality of the photo’s would not be as nice as some other wedding photo’s I’d seen because the price was so low.
Fortunately when we met Mikael on the day we were amazed at how professional the photographer was and at how polite and friendly he was.
During the wedding he asked us what we would like and gave us a great balance between Candid and Formal shots, both types were amazing.
After the event we remained in touch and he was very helpful with sending us examples so we could show our Nan who is in a home for the elderly, whilst we waited for the rest of the shots to be edited and sent to us.
Mikael also sent us all the RAW images and converted ones for a fairly small additional fee and it is great to own the copy write on these pictures so we can reproduce them and edit them as and when we wish.
He did everything we expected from our wedding photographer + more and all of our guests even commented on how good and full of personality our shots came out.

When we ran away to St. Lucia to get married in May, it was just the two of us. No family, no friends from home. Just us.
We wanted to have an intimate wedding where we could focus solely on each other and our union under God. With that, we knew our wedding pictures had to be perfect.

We have been inundated with photographs from the wedding guests and it was hard for us to imagine that our 'official' ones could be any better.....but oh, how wrong we were!
The quality of Mikael's photography is supreme and away above what we expected. The shots are very relaxed and unstuffy, exactly what we would have chosen for our wedding.

The bridal photos on the Awesome Caribbean Weddings website were beautiful and very natural so I immediately logged onto Mikael Lamber’s website to see more of his work.
After completing a beginners course in photography I have an interest in the area and prefer the photojournalistic approach to taking photos which is the style Mikael uses.
I first met Mikael as I stepped out of the car at the Benedictine Chapel on the morning of the wedding, he has a lovely gentle manner and very easy to talk to. I spoke to him about my expectations and the fact that I don’t like really posed pictures. The church ceremony was intimate, as there were only 8 people in the church and the way Mikael works you would hardly notice him taking photos and certainly didn’t feel under the spotlight.
When we moved into the garden he had some images we liked printed out so he got an understanding of the style of photo we wanted. We also took photos on the beach and on the boat we would be sailing in.
During our second week on the island we met Mikael’s wife Julie at our hotel to discuss our wedding album, she had some sample albums to show us. She explained that we choose the images for our album, she then designs a layout and emails the album to us for our approval.
Both Mikael and Julie make a very professional team, very friendly and easy to deal with.

When I got our photos through, I was not really expecting alot as I hate having my photo taken, but this was another experience altogether.
When I viewed our photos on the website I was in tears, I could not believe it was me!

I am not sure where to start in regards to the AMAZING photos that Mikael took for us!
We had Mikael for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and 1 hour at the reception! He took nearly 1000 images for us.
The only problem is that they were all so BEAUTIFUL we had such a difficult time picking through them all. So of course we did what every "realistic" couple would do and purchased the rights to all of them :)
Mikael is a true professional who is not intrusive at all. I honestly had forgotten that he was there taking photos at the cocktail hour and reception all together until the end when we said our "thank you" and "goodbyes". BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHS
When my husband and I decided to get married in St Lucia, we used Awesome Caribbean Weddings to organise our wedding and chose the fantastic location of the secluded beach at Pigeon Island.
I was worried about getting the right photographer, as my husband is a professional photographer in the UK and also covers weddings! However would we find someone that met his critical eye! I need not have worried, ACW recommended Mikael and after looking at his website we were delighted that he would be taking photographs at our wedding. I loved the style of his photography, very fresh and modern, not at all intrusive and he captured some beautiful images.
In the lead up to our wedding I used his website a lot to look at other peoples weddings and for that very reason we have not password protected our photos so that other brides to be can view our photographs to get the same idea about his fantastic photographs.
We met Mikael on the day of the wedding, and he automatically put us at ease. He had a very relaxed style whilst being able to control events so that he was able to capture the images he wanted. I was amazed at his ability to put me at ease, but also in how he was able to put Alex at ease, as he is more used to being on the other side of the camera not in front of it!
From the guests arriving to my arrival, the ceremony and walking in the grounds of the national park he captured some beautiful candid photographs. I just had a beaming smile on my face for the whole day it was wonderful.
Once the ceremony began, everything seemed to go so fast and I am so happy that we have such stunning images to remember the day by.
After the ceremony we were handed champagne for toasting and then we were taken for a walk to capture some romantic photos within the stunning location of the island. Not only along the beach but also over on the Atlantic side of Pigeon Island where Mikael captured the waves crashing behind us which were simply beautiful. Finally, when we returned to the beach, all our guests were enjoying themselves with the wine before we cut the cake and then took some more photographs.
Mikael took great care to ensure that he captured the sunset images that I had specifically requested.
Our photographs were ready for us to view online before we had even returned to the UK, so it was lovely getting back to England and being able to see such beautiful photographs of our wedding day so soon after the wedding.
We were very pleased with our photographs, and will be having a number of them made into large prints for the wall!
I can wholeheartedly recommend Mikael to anyone getting married or celebrating a special occasion in St Lucia,

Our wedding day was like a dream come true
for both of us. It could not have been more beautiful and perfect,
even with the rainy weather. Justin and I both said if we could

When my fiancee and I decided to get married
on St. Lucia, we were both horrified at the prices our resort
wanted to charge us to use their photographer.
We investigated
other options and were so lucky to find Mikeal Lamber with
Evisions. He was so helpful as we began to correspond via e-mail
with ideas for locations to shoot our pictures.
The day arrived when Mikeal was to
pick us up and take us to our photo
shoot. When he didn’t
arrive for a half hour, I started
to get worried. Amazingly, we had told both
our photographer and our resort the
wrong day we wanted our pictures
on.
Mikeal and his wife dropped everything and rushed
to our aid, even though we had told
them to get us on the wrong day.
They were incredible. They were unflappable even as we

We did a double wedding
in April of 2008 on the island of
St. Lucia.
Mikael and his wife Julie
were our photographers and from the
minute we stepped out of the car onto the
beach, they were snapping pictures
from all angles. They captured every
detail of the ceremony. Then, after the ceremony they took
us to various parts of the location
and
took some amazing posed photos. Before
we left, more candid and casual shots.
I was impressed with the amount of
shots, but also want to emphasize the
variety and quality of shots. I loved the
fact that many of the photos were in
both black & white,
color and sometimes an interesting
mix of color & sepia.
While we did not specify what we wanted,
it seemed like they knew.
Once we were sent the pictures to view, we were amazed at how fabulous they were. I was absolutely blown away!!! I have passed along the website for many friends and family to view and I have received so many compliments on the photos.
I would highly recommend Mikael and in fact, have told several
of my friends to get his information from me if they ever decide

Steve and I were married on April 24th,2008.
It was very important for him to have
a photographer that would put him
at ease and not make him feel anxious.
We chose Mikael after a recommendation
from our wedding planner and reading the testimonials
on his webpage and on TripAdvisor,
many suggesting that he would be the
right person to make our wedding day special.
As it turns out, Mikael was everything and more than we ever hoped for or dared to imagine. We had so much fun every step of the way and he captured every moment with an exquisite eye for detail—not once making us feel self-conscious or inhibited (as many of our ‘special’ poses demonstrate!). Our only complaint was that with him, we smiled so much, so naturally, that our cheeks seriously hurt after 100’s of photos!
We’ve only been able to view our photos for a single day, and I’ve already looked through them more than a dozen times and without a second thought purchased them all. Mikael and Julie could not have performed
a more professional, beautiful job.
They were given a tough
task, as the sun was setting right behind us during our entire
wedding ceremony, but none of their pictures turned out to
be overexposed, and, instead, the lighting in their pictures
was absolutely perfect.
They successfully captured every moment
of our day. And they were never imposing; we were never aware
of where they were standing, or that our lives were constantly
being documented by their talented, artistic eyes.
We could
tell from Mikael's website that there was something very special
about his photographs, but it's always a little nerve wracking

your special day.

Mikael and Julie are amazing photographers.
Every time we look at the enormous volume of pictures they captured is like being in St. Lucia and getting married once more; but this time without the wedding anxiety and actually having time to reflect on the wonderful event.
The first time I went through the pictures it brought tears to my eyes. They captured all the touching moments, the love and passion of the day and down to all the fine details. Beyond capturing the traditional moments, they were true journalistic photographers capturing instances that I wasn't even aware they were there. They were also flexible and patient, going a long with all the little hiccups at our wedding.

We loved how he focussed more on candid shots and not so much
on the “say cheese” formal poses. He was very non
intrusive and we didn’t even notice him taking a lot

as unique because they captured the emotions

At our wedding ceremony
and reception, he always managed to
capture the funny and special moments
without us even realizing he was there.
We were allowed to just be ourselves
and that made the pictures even more
true-to-life. Because he knew our wedding
location so well, he made suggestions
about locations for the group photos
following the ceremony. Then he walked
the two of us around the island to
get a variety of background scenery
and to make sure we caught the sunset

At the reception, he
photographed the traditional moments

photographed) helps bring back memories

We had never met Mikael prior to our wedding, but we are astonished by how beautiful his pictures turned out! Every moment was captured, true to life. As we viewed our photo CD on our honeymoon (yes, we got our photos within a WEEK of the wedding!) it brought tears to our eyes. The pictures are phenomenal. We received an array of photos ranging from full color, to black and white, to special effects copies, such as black and white with colored flowers! Many times when we look through our photos it is hard to believe that it is US in them!

The day arrived when Mikeal was to pick us up and take us to our photo shoot. When he didn’t arrive for a half hour, I started to get worried. Amazingly, we had told both our photographer and our resort the wrong day we wanted our pictures on. Mikeal and his wife dropped everything and rushed to our aid, even though we had told them to get us on the wrong day. They were incredible. They were unflappable even as we realized our huge gaffe. Upon arrival at the site for the shoot, we were just blown away by the sheer beauty of the location. Everything was exactly what we dreamt it would be.

My husband and I were very fortunate to have Mikael to photograph our wedding at Pigeon Island. I was so excited when I found out he likes to do more of candid shots then actual posing because you can always get someone’s true expression when they are not expecting it.
